It looks like Paradise, it sounds like Paradise, but is this Paradise? Get closer and maybe your perception will change.
It could be a small distance between Utopia and its Dystopia. Maybe just a small change in your perspective or point of view can bring a whole new experience and reality.
Paradise is an artpiece and VR project exploring the optical distance between Utopic and Dystopic Paradise.
It was designed with Pedro Bandeira under the commission of the “Utopia/Dystopia” exhibition’s curators Pedro Gadanho, João Laia and Susana Ventura.
Presented in the collective exhibitions “Utopia/Dystopia” at MAAT- Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (Lisbon, 2017); “Me myself and my avatar”, University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA, 2018) and “Natural Intelligence, What AI still can’t do?” at the Vivarium Festival (Porto, 2019)
